Alongside his role as a freediving instructor, Kylian contributes to the development of Freedive Within’s visual identity and communication.
He documents the project from within through photography, filmmaking, and content creation. His work focuses on capturing what happens in and around the water, offering a genuine look at the people and experiences that shape the journey as Freedive Within continues to grow.
THE CRAFT
The creative process behind Freedive Within follows an editorial approach, documenting the program as it unfolds while remaining closely connected to the real experience. Most content is captured with minimal direction, though certain underwater images require planning and coordination to achieve a specific outcome. Above the surface, photography and filming are integrated into the flow of the program to avoid disrupting participants. All underwater photography and filming are carried out on a single breath, shaping both the pace and possibilities of the work. The visual identity remains a work in progress, developing naturally as the project grows.
